About a year ago, a friend invited me to spend the day in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. It’s kind of like going to Soho 20 years ago: a mix of scruff and style, old and revamped buildings, and a smattering of creative stores, with no sign or Prada or Chanel…YET.
We strolled into a store that was laid out in very attractive vignettes, which I think is a great way of showcasing merchandise. I gravitated to the shoes; so what else is new, and ended up buying a really cool pair of black patent leather men’s style lace-ups; which I wore a lot last winter with slim pants.
As I went to pay for these beauties, I was very surprised to learn that I was at URBAN OUTFITTERS. Nothing against this store, but this particular location was much more attractive than Manhattan locations I have visited. It just goes to show you that presentation makes all the difference, in every aspect of life, as a matter of fact.
As much as we all love a pretty high heel, sometimes the idea of wearing heels is just too painful, or simply inappropriate for the activity at hand. So I thought I would focus just on my favorite summer flats from URBAN OUTFITTERS.
